Sports Mad Mum and Dad Parents and their kids in sport
So what makes you a Sports Mad Mum Dad? Well I inherited the title after particpating in all the activities.

I’m not pushing my kids I’m just supporting them in their own goals for sports achievement and getting carried away with the excitement and the game. I’m the other coach who’s always there, the driver, the navigator, the physio, the bank, the manager, the confident, and last of all, the concerned parent. Up at the crack of dawn, full of coffee missing my bed lacking sleep, but fired up. Supporting the club or team tracking the games and the results of each competition. This is not my only child, but how can I be in two places at once, one has to suffer the neglect and my lack of full attention and I also have guilt to deal with., one has to suffer the neglect and my lack of full attention and I also have guilt to deal with. You have my love. I know most of us have done it cheered when a shot or play goes right, or cringed when the team loses from your childs bad ball, lack of effort or mistake / performance or the rest of the squad not keeping up. Welcome to Sports Mad Mum & Dad!

I just love to see the faces on a weekend morning trying to keep warm out in the field or throwing tantrums, as they see all the practice/ time, money and effort you’ve put in, go down the drain. What do you mean you think they’d do better in another club!

Up and down the county some evenings and most weekends. The minivan is tanked up, the journey begins, pop a disc in the player and were off. Hold on you’ve got to get the lunch. Trials, training sessions, meet the parents, don’t talk about my kids like that, backstabbers. This time it’s your son or daughter and its personal, the competitions tough, but so are the parents on the line. You’ve even got to deal with sickness, injury, mood swings (both yours and your childs). I’ve followed most types of sport to some degree. Even those that I would consider slow have an appeal to me because of the competitive nature of sport, either as an opponent, team or the your skills against the clock.
